Why Save Sight Centre

Why Do Patients Travel to Save Sight Centre From Other Countries?

Many patients who write to us are dealing with a retina problem, cataract, or high spectacle power that needs proper treatment, but costs or wait times back home feel difficult to manage. At Save Sight Centre, one senior doctor — Dr. Rajeev Jain — looks after your case from your first message to your final follow-up.

Save Sight Centre is NABH- and ISO-accredited, and has treated over 1,60,000 patients over 15+ years, all from one easy-to-reach hospital in Delhi, right opposite Adarsh Nagar Metro Station.

Eye surgery in India is generally more affordable than in the US, UK, Gulf countries, or the Caribbean, mainly because running costs are lower here — not because standards are lower. Many patients also find they can complete tests, surgery, and an early follow-up within a single short trip.

Whatever your reason for choosing India, we try to make the process simple: clear communication before you travel, one doctor throughout your care, and follow-up support after you return home.

A Closer Look

What Does Retina Treatment Involve at Save Sight Centre?

Retina care is where Save Sight Centre started, and it's still one of the most common reasons patients travel to us from abroad — often after being told at home that a retina problem needs urgent attention.

🔬

Vitrectomy

Surgery to remove the gel inside the eye and repair complex retinal detachments or bleeds.

🛡️

Scleral Buckling

A support placed around the eye to help reattach a detached retina.

Retinal Laser Treatment

A focused laser to seal retinal tears or treat diabetic eye disease early.

💉

Intravitreal Injections

An injection into the eye to treat wet macular degeneration and diabetic eye swelling.

🩸

Diabetic Retinopathy Care

A mix of laser, injections and surgery, matched to how advanced your condition is.

🩹

Retinal Detachment Repair

Surgical repair for detached retinas, prioritised for patients arriving with urgent reports.

Intravitreal injections are given with numbing drops, so most patients feel pressure rather than pain, and the injection itself only takes a few minutes.
