Key takeaways
- Booking online does not confirm your slot instantly — our team calls to confirm timing based on doctor availability.
- Bring your old prescription, glasses and any previous eye reports, if you have them.
- If your eyes may be dilated for testing, arrange for someone to drive you home or plan to wait 3–4 hours before driving.
- Walk-in patients are welcome, but booking ahead means shorter waiting time.

What Happens During Your Eye Checkup?
Most routine eye checkups take 45–60 minutes from registration to doctor consultation. Here's what to expect, step by step.
Registration & History
Our front desk notes your complaint, medical history and any current glasses or medicines.
Visual Acuity Test
You read letters on a chart from a distance to check how clearly you see with each eye.
Refraction Test
A machine and trial lenses find your exact glasses or contact lens power.
Slit Lamp Examination
The doctor uses a special microscope to check the front of your eye — cornea, lens and iris.
Eye Pressure Check (Tonometry)
A quick, painless test measures the pressure inside your eye to screen for glaucoma.
Pupil Dilation & Retina Exam (If Needed)
Eye drops widen your pupil so the doctor can examine the retina at the back of your eye. Vision stays blurry for a few hours.
Doctor Consultation
The doctor explains the findings in plain language and suggests the next steps, if any.
