Built by a retina surgeon who came home to Delhi
Dr. Rajeev Jain completed his M.B.B.S. from Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC), Delhi, followed by post-graduate training in ophthalmology at Guru Nanak Eye Centre. He went on to complete long-term vitreoretinal fellowships at LV Prasad Eye Institute in Hyderabad, Sydney Eye Hospital in Australia, and Royal Adelaide Hospital, where he was later appointed Clinical Lecturer at the University of Adelaide in 2007.
He returned to New Delhi in 2009, and on 26th January 2011, founded Save Sight Centre in Adarsh Nagar with a simple mission: to bring fellowship-trained, sub-specialist eye care — the kind usually reserved for large tertiary institutes — into a neighbourhood hospital patients could actually walk into.
What started as a focused retina and uveitis practice grew, year by year, into a full-spectrum eye hospital. Dr. Jain built a team of qualified ophthalmologists around him — including Dr. Shuchi Gupta and Dr. Ankit Malhotra — so that every patient, regardless of age or condition, could be treated under one roof by a specialist trained for exactly their problem.
That growth is reflected in the numbers: from a handful of patients in its first year, Save Sight Centre has now treated 1,70,000+ patients over 15+ years, while earning NABH and ISO accreditation for its clinical and quality standards along the way.
